thin,
shallow
breath
away from you.
The line between us - so faint, so
imperceptible -
almost
invisible.
I breathe in,
I breathe out, and I feel
everything -
behind us
between us
beyond us.
It feels so light
it frightens me.
I can barely get enough air to whisper your name and yet, I am
airborne
at the thought of you.
Flying so high!
Tethered only tentatively
to the earth
upon which
you stand
exposed
before me.
Grounded only to the ground
upon which lay
my body,
my heart,
my soul.
I am mindless
of everyone, anything, everything except
you
and me.
Intimately,
inextricably,
entwined
inside
this peaceful,
painful,
lovely,
lonely,
longing
for freedom -
with you,
for you
from you.
I am
